THE RYDER STUDIO
PAINTING
DRAWING
The Ryder Studio school, established in 2007, located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, offers classes in drawing and painting from life in a naturalistic style that unites classical drawing with clear, brilliant color and light.

Our yearly cycle of courses consists of three, two-week Summer Workshops, in figure drawing, portrait drawing and portrait painting, and from September to April, a comprehensive, 24-week long life drawing and painting Atelier, open to full and part-time enrollment.

Our teaching has its origins in the philosophy and techniques of Ted Seth Jacobs, revered draftsman, painter, teacher and author, with whom Anthony and Celeste Ryder studied from 1983 to 1989. It is suitable for beginning, intermediate and advanced students, ages sixteen and up.
Principal instructor:
Anthony Ryder
Associate instructors:
Celeste Simon Ryder, John Reger and M. Tobias Hall
